Ventilated façade is a perimetral casing of external walls of a building and it plans dry application of panels.
The system is characterized by the position of the outer casing surface, that doesn't adhere to closing wall, but is distanced to create a gap. In this way, we have the natural circulation of air in the gap's space, improving thermal comfort.
Ventilated façades are constituted by a series of functional surfaces tied to building through a structure constituted by jambs, beams, clamps and fixing accessories.
In the structure, that is essentially in aluminium, are inserted metal accessories to support and hold casing sheets.
It is hide and separated from frontal wall, to allow the circulation of air, creating a ventilation room. The stratigraphy of a ventilated wall is composed by four parts: thermal insulating ( and also acoustic) at contact with the principal wall/structure of building, ground cloth – breathable, gap and outer casing.
This kind of wall has a natural inclination to protect building against rain and wind, maintaining dry the thermal insulating and the opponent inner wall, with more durability of the same wall and more energy efficiency.
This façade can be covered with these materials:
-Earthenware tile
-Fibre cement
-Zinc metal-Titanium
