“In a passive house, thermal dispersions of building are reduced insomuch as there is no need of an active system of heat. The contributions of passive heat like sun, occupants, appliances and the heat recovered by consumed air, cover the greatest part of the thermal needs. The remaining heat can be supplied through the restored air, if the maximum of the thermal load for the heat is less than 10 W/m2 of useful surface. Windows are the cause of 1/3 of the energetic dispersions in a building, so they influence the thermal needs of building. For this reason it is important that the window is of quality and respects thermal transmittance values for the sustainable buildings.
